Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a travel assignment based in Milan, NM. The position requires living 70+ miles from the facility to qualify and involves work at a correctional health site.

The RN will plan and provide comprehensive nursing care, administer medications, assist providers, supervise staff, and ensure accurate medical documentation while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO standards.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Experience in inmate/resident healthcare preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and handle high-stress scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates/residents.
• Attend sick calls with physicians and prepare examination rooms.
• Dispense medications and document as required.
• Coordinate with Licensed Independent Providers for orders and emergencies.
• Monitor inpatient hospitalizations and supervise nursing staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and ensure policy compliance.
• Audit pharmacy use and adherence to controlled substances regulations.
• Escort inmates/residents for medical treatment and assist with accreditation activities.
