Job summary

MercyOne New Hampton Medical Center, IA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for FirstChoice staffing on a part-time basis with 12-hour day shifts. You may float across hospital locations and regions, applying standard nursing practices and maintaining accountability for outcomes.

FirstChoice is Trinity Health's mobile staffing program offering premium pay, flexible scheduling, and travel opportunities. DailyPay and license/certifications reimbursement are available per assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple locations/regions as needed.
• Apply professional practice steps: Assess, Outcomes Identification, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Act independently within license, scope of knowledge and experience.
• Maintain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
• Demonstrate agility and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
• Embrace new ideas and manage competing priorities.
