American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in a Level IV trauma center in Colorado Springs. The role requires TNCC and NIHSS skills with a Colorado/compact license and at least 2 years in ED. Night 12-hour shifts and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio are expected.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or Compact (NLC) in hand.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience.
• BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required.
• TNCC and NIHSS skills proficiency demonstrated.
• BSN not required for this position.
• Submit a copy of driver’s license for consideration.
• Residence at least 60 miles from the facility.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct emergency nursing care in a Level IV trauma center.
• Triage and treat 35+ patients daily with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Administer cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia drips.
• Support RT staff with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow equipment 24/7.
• Perform phlebotomy and lab draws; collaborate with physicians and staff.
• Work night shifts with 12-hour shifts; participate in self- and block scheduling.
• Cover a minimum of six weekends per six-week schedule and holiday shifts.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and care coordination.
