Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role requiring 2 years of ED experience and NC or compact RN licensure. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI are required, with TNCC preferred.

EPIC EMR experience is required, and candidates must reside more than 50 miles away from the facility. The position involves 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), 36 hours per week at a 457-bed Trauma Level III teaching hospital with Chest Pain and Stroke Center

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience with recent practice
• Trauma and stroke care experience required
• Skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, conscious sedation, IV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, critical care drips, and blood administration
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference from Supervisor/Manager within the last year

Responsibilities

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 7p–7a, 36 hours per week
• ED in a 457-bed Trauma Level III teaching hospital with Chest Pain Center
• RN to patient ratio 1:5 max; acuity dependent
• Treats trauma patients incl. GSW, stab injuries, MVA, strokes and chest pain
• Use EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors
• Float within Region 1 including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Freestanding EDs
• Travelers may need to work 75% of holidays
• Orientation includes NEO and dept. orientation
• Free parking; Navy scrubs; residents >50 miles from facility
