Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for an endoscopy travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks, with a 4x10 rotating shift in a hospital-style environment supporting bronchoscopy, EUS, and EBUS procedures.

This assignment includes dedicated support, 24/7 recruiter, credentialing coordination, and opportunities for additional travel within the organization; CNA represents this position.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (California).
• Endoscopy-related experience or exposure (bronchoscopy, EUS, EBUS) preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Education: nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment with rotating schedules and to obtain necessary credentials.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during bronchoscopy, EUS, and EBUS procedures; recognize changes in physiological and psychological status.
• Manage patient recovery after sedation; assess for post-procedure complications and ensure discharge criteria are met.
• Provide clear, concise discharge instructions and follow-up plans for patients and families.
• Interpret diagnostic measures (laboratory tests, radiology results, EKGs) and apply nursing judgment to the care plan.
• Maintain familiarity with equipment and supplies used for procedures; ensure proper cleaning, handling, and infection control practices.
• Collaborate with the procedural team to support patient safety and comfort throughout the endoscopy workflow.
