Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an RN II – Endoscopy for a critical role in advanced GI procedures in San Luis Obispo, California. The assignment lasts from 08/17/2026 to 10/11/2026 with mandatory call requirements.

Ideal candidates should hold at least an Associate Degree in Nursing, have a minimum of one year of GI or Endoscopy experience, and be equipped with an active RN license and relevant certifications. Experience with Epic is also required.

This position includes rotating shifts and various responsibilities including patient monitoring and procedural assistance, ensuring safety and quality care.

Role Overview

As an RN II in Endoscopy, you will play a critical role in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures including:

• Bronchoscopy
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
• Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)

You’ll support patients through the full procedural journey—from pre-assessment to recovery—ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during sedation-based care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during sedation with rapid recognition of physiological and psychological changes
• Provide safe recovery care post-procedure and ensure discharge readiness
• Assist physicians and advanced providers during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
• Operate and maintain endoscopy equipment with proper cleaning and infection control practices
• Interpret and respond to ECG rhythms and diagnostic data (labs, imaging, etc.)
• Identify complications and initiate appropriate interventions under clinical direction
• Complete pre/post assessments including physical and social history within required timelines
• Ensure adherence to minimal/moderate sedation protocols and universal protocol “time out” procedures
• Maintain safety standards including crash cart checks, documentation accuracy, and quality control logs
• Provide clear, concise discharge education and follow-up instructions

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• BSN preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1 year GI or Endoscopy experience required

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification required

Technical Requirements

• Current Epic experience is mandatory
• Competency in endoscope handling and procedural support
