Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for endoscopy patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, monitor during procedures, manage sedation as indicated, and provide post-procedure recovery care
• Assess patient status, document findings, administer medications per protocol, and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative period
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other disciplines to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, using critical thinking and independent judgment
• Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding procedures, care plans, and expected outcomes; maintain accurate and compliant charting

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license applicable in California
• Endoscopy nursing experience preferred or recent exposure to endoscopy/ambulatory surgery settings
• Completion of a nursing program (educational credentials to meet RN licensure requirements)
