American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift position in Chattanooga, TN. The role requires ER triage experience and TNCC certification, with a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedule and a 3-shift work pattern with rotating weekends.

Requirements include an active RN license (TN or Compact), minimum 2 years ER experience, ability to manage behavioral health patients, and certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, CPI, and TNCC.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 19-bed Emergency Department unit
• Maintain patient ratio of 4:1
• Unit staffed with one unit secretary per shift
• Use GE monitors and iMobile equipment
• Charting via Meditech with Tele-Neuro documentation
• Night shift 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three shifts per week with rotating weekends
• No floating required
• Procedures include tele-neuro monitoring, moderate sedation, basic joint reductions
• Care for wide range of acuities including behavioral health and stroke cases
• Follow AIDET standards and use communication boards
• Navy blue scrub dress code
• Orientation covers unit policies and guidelines
• Unit holds Chest Pain Accreditation and DAISY Award
• High employee and patient satisfaction scores
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility; no locals
