Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN in the ED - Emergency Department for a travel assignment in Salem, Massachusetts. The role focuses on the ER HOLD Observation Unit, with a location-based emphasis on adult patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Shifts rotate 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a, totaling 36 hours weekly with a 13-week duration; certification in ACLS and PALS, plus MA RN license, are required. Applicants must be able to float to ED Observation, AMU, and ED Psych as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in one location and as a traveler.
• 2+ years in an emergency department setting with general nursing skills.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required; MA RN license active.

Responsibilities

• Provide ER HOLD observation unit RN care with strong assessment and patient education.
• Handle rotating 12-hour shifts (days/evenings/nights) and ED float as needed.
• Read tele strips and monitor EKG, IV, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring.
