Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced ED Observation RN with active MA licensure for a 13-week assignment in Salem, MA. The role requires telemetry interpretation skills and involves rotating shifts across ED Observation, AMU, and ED Psych OB units.

Expect 36-48 hour weeks with a mix of 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a shifts, including some weekends. Prior travel nursing experience is preferred and MA license must be active.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted).
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in one location plus 2 years of travel nursing experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Core ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education.
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start via NURSYS and BON.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency observation nursing care to adult patients.
• Work in a 16-bed Observation Unit within the Emergency Department for adult patients and holds.
• Floating to ED Observation, AMU, and ED Psych OB units requested.
• Rotating shifts include days, evenings, nights, and every other weekend.
