Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position in Bloomington, Indiana. The role requires cardiac surgery skills and an IN or Compact RN license, with 36 hours per week on nights (3x12 hours) for a 13-week assignment.

The CVICU unit handles CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR and VATS, with telemetry, Cerner charting, and frequent floating within the hospital. ACLS/BLS, 18+ months CVICU experience, and PACU-style post-operative care are required.

Qualifications

• Active IN or Compact RN license required; must be in hand prior to start.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 18 months of recent CVICU experience; cardiac skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients.
• Float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate as needed.
