Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a correctional setting in Milan, New Mexico. The role involves direct inmate care, triage and collaboration with physicians in a structured, secure environment.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree and active state licensure, with one year of nursing experience preferred and a valid driver's license. Employment is full-time with competitive benefits and a shift diff up to $8 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a degree/diploma.
• Must possess current licensure in the state of employment.
• One (1) year of professional nursing experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Attend sick call with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined; prepare examining room and equipment.
• Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries and refer as needed to ED or other facilities.
• Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify the provider for treatment orders.
• Provide guidance, supervise and monitor nursing care provided by licensed practical nursing staff.
