Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift. Requires cardiac stepdown or ICU experience and a TN or compact RN license. BLS/ACLS are required; NIHSS may be obtained after offer. Cerner EMR and Omnicell experience preferred.

Position includes travel-friendly benefits, 3x12-hour nights, and a patient ratio of 1:4/5. Open to local Knoxville TN candidates or travelers with housing allowance.

Qualifications

Active TN or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS may be obtained after offer.
2–3 years of prior cardiac stepdown/PCU/ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for PCU patients with cardiac telemetry including post-cath/MI and pre/post surgery.
Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:4/5 on night shifts.
Utilize Cerner EMR and Omnicell for charting and med dispensing.
Provide telemetry monitoring and emergency cardiac response as needed.
Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; every other weekend or two weekends per month.
