Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab role in Texas requiring an active TX or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years cath lab experience.

The position features a four 10-hour day schedule, on-call duties, and comprehensive benefits. BLS/ACLS and references are required to complete the assignment.

Qualifications

• Active TX license (or Compact) is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) are required.
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Two professional references: supervisor in last 12 months and another within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in a Level II Trauma hospital.
• Cath Lab unit with 2 labs handling 6–8 cases per day.
• Complex cardiac/vascular cases: EP, TAVR, and hybrid EVAR procedures.
• Uses GE MacLab equipment; Epic EMR system.
• Four 10-hour day shifts: Mon–Fri, 6:30 a.m.–5 p.m.; on-call 7–10 days every 5 weeks.
• Care for patients in cath lab undergoing complex cardiac/vascular/EP procedures.
• Note: neuro cases handled by a separate unit; candidates with prior external staffing PRN may be considered.

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BSN not required
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in a 242-bed Level II Trauma hospital
• Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 2 labs handling 6-8 cases per day
• Complex cardiac and vascular cases including EP, structural heart (TAVR), and hybrid (EVAR) procedures
• Uses GE Maclab equipment
• EMR: Epic
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday (6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.)
• On-call requirement of 7-10 days within a 5-week cycle
• Provide nursing care for complex cardiac, vascular, EP, structural heart, and hybrid procedure patients in the cath lab
• Neuro cases are handled by a separate unit
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
• Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
