American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at a Level II Trauma Center in Reno, NV. The candidate must have travel nursing experience and a solid cath lab background to support high-volume patient care.

The role supports a 4x10 schedule with on-call nights and every 5th weekend, plus floating to other units as needed. Epic EMR is used, with orientation provided; travel housing and licensure reimbursements are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license required.
• Nevada POCA license required.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience with at least one 13-week assignment in the past year.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department of a Level II Trauma Center.
• 4x10's schedule, Monday through Friday.
• Take one night of call per week.
• One 48-hour weekend call shift every 5 weeks.
• Floating to other units as needed.
• Epic EMR usage with orientation or testing out.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cath lab patients.
• Coordinate care with other health professionals.
• Treats high-volume ER and trauma patients in a regional facility.
• Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring prior cath lab and travel experience at a Level II Trauma Center

Requirements

• Nevada Point of Care Analyst (POCA) license required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, including at least one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department of a Level II Trauma Center
• 4x10's schedule, Monday through Friday
• Required to take one night of call per week
• Required to take one 48-hour weekend call shift (Saturday and Sunday) every 5 weeks
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts as department needs dictate
• Floating required to other units based on organizational needs and competency level
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Uses Epic EMR, with training provided during orientation or ability to test out
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric cath lab patients and their families
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and support individualized patient outcomes across the episode of care
• Located at the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually
• Facility offers advanced cardiac care including an accredited heart failure center and biplane angiography technology
• Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
• Requested time off must be submitted with initial availability, as time will not be added at the end of the contract to accommodate RTO
• No blocked scheduling allowed; all assignments are 13 weeks
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after completing a prior contract before reapplying
