• Preferred skills in Post Anesthesia Recovery, vascular line pulls, and post-cardiac/IR procedure assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prep and recovery care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures.
• Care for adult and geriatric cardiac patients in Cardiac Cath Lab Prep and Recovery unit.
• Document care and findings in Cerner EHR and adhere to unit protocols.

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab Prep and Recovery position requiring an active MI RN license and 2+ years of Prep and Recovery experience.

Details

• Level 2 trauma hospital Cardiac Cath Lab unit, Prep and Recovery for Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology
• 13-bed unit with patient ratios up to 1:4
• Adult and geriatric patient population with cardiac disease diagnoses
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Variable 10-hour shifts, days 8a-6p and 11a-9p, primary shift 11a-9:30p
• 40 guaranteed weekly hours with every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (MI)

• 2+ years of Prep and Recovery experience required
• Preferred experience in Prep and Recovery or Cardiac Care Unit

Additional Information

• Perform prep and recovery care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures
• Motivated, multi-tasking personality fit preferred
• Hospital-provided light blue scrubs required; must be worn as provided
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility to be considered for travel pay rate
• No prior permanent staff employment with any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
