Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Acute Dialysis assignment in Ohio. The role requires 1 year of permanent dialysis experience, and an active Ohio or compact RN license; BLS and ACLS must be current.

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with on-call rotation and every-other-weekend coverage. You will work in a hospital dialysis unit providing in-center hemodialysis and bedside dialysis for ICU patients.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or a compact state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications that are active.
• 1 year of combined permanent dialysis experience.
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Dialysis unit within a hospital setting.
• Provides in-center hemodialysis (IHD) for stable patients and bedside hemodialysis for ICU patients who cannot be transported.
• Connects and disconnects patients from peritoneal dialysis treatment.
• Does not provide CRRT therapy; managed by ICU nursing staff.
• Primarily uses Fresenius machines; no Tablo machines or PIRRT.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Requires on-call rotation and every other weekend.
• Full orientation provided on dialysis machines.
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with exemptions only.
• Background check reviews; open cases not accepted.
• License hits not accepted under any circumstances.
