Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Sanford Med Ctr Fargo supports compassionate patient care across shifts, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. Collaborates with physicians and inter-professional teams to deliver high-quality nursing services in a travel staffing deployment.

Each contract runs for 14 weeks with extension options. Weekly pay includes stipends and Sanford benefits are available; candidates must have at least one year of experience and a valid RN

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license in the state where practice occurs or multistate licensure if in an NLC state.
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Collaborates with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Cares for patients across preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
• Plans and coordinates care, performs patient education, triage and various nursing interventions.
• Practices within the Nurse Practice Act and licensure requirements of the state.
