Responsibilities include night shifts of 12 hours, rotating weekends, on-call duties, and potential floating within the facility or to nearby affiliates. BLS and RRT certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
• BLS and RRT certification required.
• IL license required if applicable for Illinois postings.
• Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience required.
• Experience with endotracheal tubes, suctioning, intubation assist, and airway management.
• Experience with handheld, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizers.
• Experience with bag-mask, ET tube, HFNC, T-piece, trach collar, and venturi mask oxygen therapy.
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP and weaning from mechanical ventilation.

• Provide care for adult ICU and ED patients with Cerner charting.
• On-call as needed and possible hospital-wide floating.

• Night shift, 4x12 hours (1800-0630)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call as needed for the department
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS and RRT certification required
• IL license required if applicable
• Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience required
• Experience with endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, intubation assist, nasal and oral airway placement/suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care/management required
• Experience with hand held, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizer skills required
• Experience with bag and mask, ET tube, HFNC, T-piece, trach collar, and venturi mask oxygen therapy required
• Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

• Any solid color scrubs permitted
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous PERM or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Travel pairs not accepted
