Qualifications

Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a freestanding ER setting requiring Trauma Level I, adult critical care, and pediatric experience including pediatric trach care.

Details

• Freestanding Emergency Department setting with primarily independent RRT coverage
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM-7:15 PM (times vary slightly by campus)
• Every other weekend/holiday rotation required
• Primary assignment at Nashoba with at least 2 shifts/week there
• Will float to up to 3 additional campuses (University, Marlborough, Memorial) with advance notice
• Epic charting system used, experience preferred

Requirements

• MA RRT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience required

• Experience with pediatric tracheostomies required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required

Additional Information

• Work independently as an RRT at a freestanding ER location
• Care for patients requiring ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures such as CPAP/BiPAP, high frequency ventilators, and intubation assist preferred
• Skills in medication delivery systems and administration for respiratory conditions preferred
• Assist with external patient transports
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet required experience criteria
• Pass/Fail EKG test required for consideration
