Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a day shift role at a tertiary, teaching hospital level 1 trauma center requiring 3+ years of experience.

Details

• Covers respiratory therapy needs facility-wide as part of a team of 14-16 RRTs
• Patient ratios of 1:25 for acute care and 1:8 for critical care
• Utilizes ventilators including Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30 and V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm
• EMR: EPIC
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call requirements with approximately one call shift per month, requiring 2-hour response time for the oncoming shift
• Float requirement as RRT across NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, ED, and adult acute and critical care
• 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed

• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted, though local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Radius rule: candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local with adjusted bill rate
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
• Airpods, laptops, and cell phone usage prohibited on the unit
