Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in New London, CT. The CRT will work 40 hours per week with 10-hour evening shifts, providing direct patient care across clinical areas and ensuring proper documentation.

Required NBRC-CRT, BLS, ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some locations. 1 year of acute care experience is needed. Travel benefits and guaranteed hours apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other staff to ensure continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in New London, Connecticut.

We're looking for a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for an immediate travel position opening in New London, CT. The right CRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a CRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

As a CRT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function. Reports malfunctions to director.
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interacts with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Responds to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support.

Certified Respiratory Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Respiratory Therapists should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Respiratory Therapists must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have NBRC-CRT,BLS, and ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
