Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Respiratory Therapist for a Norfolk, Virginia assignment. The RT will provide direct patient care across multiple clinical areas, following procedural guidelines and maintaining accurate records.

The role requires 1 year of acute care experience, BLS, ACLS, NBRC certification; PALS/NRP may be required in some areas. 12-hour nights, 35 hours per week, 13-week duration, with a tax-free stipend TBD. Travel and housing support offered through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• 1 year acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS required; NBRC cert may be required in some areas.
• PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas per procedural guidelines.
• Perform arterial puncture and respiratory-related assessments.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Calibrate, clean and maintain respiratory equipment and accessories.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other hospital staff to optimize care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
