Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.-Allied is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Norfolk, Virginia. The RT provides respiratory therapy services and helps manage pulmonary care across age groups in healthcare facilities.

The position requires an RT license/certification, CPR, and compliance with relevant health requirements. Travel pay is competitive and includes 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts for a 13-week engagement.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registration for the practicing state.
• One year of respiratory therapy clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management and rehabilitation under physician direction.
• Treat conditions affecting the pulmonary system and assist patients with breathing difficulties across age ranges.
• Support and implement care plans in a variety of health care settings
