Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Winchester, VA. The RT will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, providing direct patient care across clinical areas and performing respiratory procedures according to guidelines.

Requirements include 1 year of acute care experience and certifications: ACLS, BLS; PALS/NRP may be required in some areas. NBRC certification is noted. Immediate travel position with tax-free stipend details pending.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS/NRP may be required in some areas.
• NBRC certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care modalities to patients per protocol.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Calibrate and maintain respiratory equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial punctures and sample analysis per guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and staff to ensure continuum of care.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies as needed.
