Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. The RT will provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments following procedural guidelines, across clinical areas.

Must have 1 year of acute care experience, BLS/ACLS; PALS/NRP may be required in some areas. Perks include weekly pay and guaranteed hours for a 13-week assignment.

Qualifications

• 1 year recent acute care experience required.
• BLS, ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• NBRC, ACLS, PALS, 2 Years (as applicable)

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other staff to optimize patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
