American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night-shift travel assignment in Colorado Springs, CO. The RT will work in an acute care hospital, covering ED and ICU areas and treating mainly adults with occasional pediatric/neonatal transfers.

Requirements include 2+ years of critical care experience, active state or compact license, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP). Night shifts are 12 hours with a 36-hour workweek.

Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift assignment in an acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of critical care experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Respiratory Therapy department
• Covers Inpatient ED and Critical Care areas
• Primarily treats adult patients, with pediatric and neonatal patients stabilized and transferred from the ED
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift, 1830-0700, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No call or standby call requirements
• No floating outside of RT, with possible floating within Zone 1 if needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• RRT preferred, CRT may be considered
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification required
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission, if applicable
• Skilled in ABG draws, ventilator management, EKGs, trach care, BiPAP, and HHFNC
• Able to assist with intubation as a traveler, not required to intubate independently
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Work alongside an RT manager and charge therapists for support
• Facility provides a 9-week schedule; no block scheduling or self-scheduling available
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Hospitalist or intensivist available on-site
• Department-specific orientation includes ABG, EKG, Epic, and EPOC training
• Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, even if initial modules are remote
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates previously employed directly by an affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible
