Job summary

WakeMed Travel Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support North Carolina's Triangle region. You will manage airway care, administer nebulized medications, assist with secretion management and provide oxygen therapy under physician orders.

The role serves adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications. 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required.
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• 1 year of clinical Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage airway care and support ventilation as prescribed.
• Administer nebulized medications and adjust therapy per orders.
• Assist with secretion management and clearance.
• Apply oxygen therapy according to physician orders.
• Communicate with physicians and health care team to evaluate therapy.

The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. Patient populations consist of adult, pediatric and neonatal patients.
