Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a Traveling Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract in Urbana, Illinois. The position supports 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts.

Start date is 09/28/2026, and compensation can include a crisis-rate consideration depending on location and experience. You will join the Respiratory Team to deliver high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and ensure accurate documentation and safety throughout the care plan.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as Respiratory Therapist
• Current CPR/BCLS certification
• ACLS/PALS/NALS/NRP preferred
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommending a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes

We currently have a client in Urbana, IL looking for Traveling Respiratory Therapist (RRT)!
Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist to help us to provide quality patient care during this COVID 19 Crisis. As a member of the Respiratory Team, develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists. Contract Assignment – 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift: 3x12 Nights

Requirements

• Proven experience as Repertory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families
