Job summary

Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company (FMH) is seeking a full-time Crop Adjuster located in East Central Nebraska. The role involves field inspections, reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, climbing storage bins, and discussing crop-loss findings with producers to support farmers nationwide.

A candidate must travel and be comfortable with heights, distances, and varying terrains; a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and own vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 5 years of crop insurance adjusting experience or an agriculture background is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree in business or an ag-related field preferred.
• Must possess basic computer skills: ability to use a computer, printer, scanner, Internet and Microsoft Office Products.

Responsibilities

• Understands and is able to work claims for all major crops, policy/plan types, in all stages of growth.
• Effectively and clearly communicates regulations and interpretations to producers, agents, and Company staff regarding claims processes.
• Stays current with RMA-requirements and maintains CAPP certification if working multi-peril crop insurance (MPCI) claims.
• Maintains a State Adjuster License where required.
