TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a travel nursing job in Harvey, IL. The role is a 13-week assignment with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour night shifts at a Rehabilitation Hospital.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an RN in a rehabilitation setting.
• Current BLS certification is required. Additional certifications may be required.
• Must be eligible for state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients with neurological, orthopedic, or other rehabilitation needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other rehab team members to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Regularly assess patients' physical and mental condition, monitor vital signs and progress in therapy.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with pain management strategies.
• Educate patients and families about recovery goals and rehabilitation techniques.
• Respond to medical emergencies and stabilize patients when needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR and assist with discharge planning.
