American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel position in Biddeford, Maine. The assignment covers ICU, ER, Level 1 Nursery, and Med Surg with 36 hours per week and 12-hour nights.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience, RRT license, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS). No call, some float coverage, and a 13-week contract with MaineHealth facilities.

Qualifications

• Active RRT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Experience in adult ICU, ER with pediatric intubation/ventilation, Level 1 Nursery, and Med Surg
• NICU and PICU experience preferred
• Experience attending high-risk deliveries and serving on a resuscitation team
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Responsabilités

• Hospital-based position covering ICU, ER, Level 1 Nursery, and Med Surg floors
• Treats patients ranging from newborns to adults, including pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation
• Participates in high-risk C-section deliveries as part of the resuscitation team
• Uses Drager V500 and Hamilton T-1 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, Neopuff, and Ram cannula
• Utilizes EPIC EMR system
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours including weekend hours
• No call requirements
• Floats to all areas of the hospital, including a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed

• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Serve as part of a resuscitation team for high-risk deliveries and pediatric emergencies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across ICU, ER, nursery, and med-surg units
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a positive attitude expected
• Any scrub color accepted
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage prohibited on the unit
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this upon consideration
