American Traveler is seeking a Travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Indianapolis, IN. The position requires RRT certification, 2+ years NICU/PICU experience, and L&D involvement.

Night shifts on a 4x12 schedule, 48 hours per week, with potential floating to NICU, PICU, and general Pediatric units. Indiana license and Cerner charting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RRT certification through NBRC.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required (can be obtained after offer).
• PALS certification preferred.
• Indiana state license required.
• Minimum 2 years of NICU or PICU experience.
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3–5 years required.
• L&D experience required.
• Education must be CoARC accredited and CHEA regionally accredited.
• Experience with ABGs, ventilator management, and neonatal/pediatric airway procedures.
• 2 supervisor references required.
• SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsabilités

• Perform medication administration, ventilator management, and airway management procedures for neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed for all travelers.

Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/L&D position requiring RRT certification and a minimum of 2 years of Level I NICU or PICU experience.

Details

• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Home unit will be assigned as NICU, PICU, or Peds based on facility need once on site
• Primary placement in L&D with floating to PICU and some Peds Acute Care required
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required for all travelers
• Cerner charting system experience required

Additional Information

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holiday pairs (11/27-11/28, 12/24-12/25, 12/31-1/1)
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Current or past IU Health travelers with 12+ months of travel employment must take a designated consecutive break to reset eligibility (3 months for out-of-state residents, 6 months for in-state residents)
• Indiana residents are considered local candidates
• RTO of 5 days or less can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
