Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week night shift assignment at a 438-bed hospital, requiring 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience and NC licensure.

Details

• Respiratory Care department serving adult patients in a 438-bed hospital with 300+ patients per day
• Facility features a Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, and Level III NICU
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 1900-0700, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Schedule cycle of every 6 weeks
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Floating required within Region 2 facilities as needed within scope of practice, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Freestanding EDs, and Central Division facilities
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Department equipment includes Servo ventilators (I, U, Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NC RCP licensure required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Experience in Critical Care, ED, and Progressive Care settings
• Proficiency in all floor therapies including BiPAP, CPAP, vents, and breathing treatments
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care services to adult patients across critical care, ED, and progressive care units
• Supported by Respiratory Care leadership and staff
• Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 2 days of departmental orientation
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; unused contracted hours must be made up at the end of the contract
• Royal blue scrubs required

• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
