Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift position at a Level III trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort working with adult and pediatric ICU patients.

Details

• Works within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics-CRT unit at a short-term acute care, Level III trauma teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and between like units
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients

Requirements

• Active state or Compact RRT/CRT license required at submission (pending license not accepted)
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of applicable experience required
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required at submission
• Must be willing to float within the hospital or affiliated campuses based on staffing needs

Additional Information

• Facility is a 733-bed Level III trauma center and teaching hospital
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted; no holiday RTO accepted
• Candidates requesting holiday RTO may request only one major holiday
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers on a 2-contract limit system may extend once, then must wait 6 months before reapplying
• Call-off policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment before guaranteed hours apply
• All callouts for scheduled shifts require a makeup shift as deemed necessary by the department
