We’re looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Central City, NE. The right RT should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, and maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function. Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Respiratory Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. They should be able to lift 20 pounds, and at times up to 50 pounds. They must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications & Certifications

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS and ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
