TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Grand Rapids, MI. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
• Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds when needed.
• Have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• NBRC certification and 2 years of experience assumed; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
