Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for treated patients.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent acute‑care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• RRT, ACLS, and NRP mandatory; PALS may also be required depending on assignment.
• Physical capacity to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds normally and up to 50 pounds when required.
• Visual acuity for close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
