Job summary

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Akron, Ohio. The position requires 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift, for 13 weeks starting 09/28/2026, with emphasis on assessment, planning, and evaluation of respiratory care for patients with breathing disorders.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science, current state license, 1 year of RRT experience, and BLS/ACLS as

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• One year experience as an RRT.
• BLS certification.
• Experience operating invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment.
• Experience with oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices.
• Experience performing oximetry and capnography monitoring.
• Experience performing 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Experience performing pulmonary function studies.
• Experience assisting with respiratory care procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, and chest tube placement.
• Experience with tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes.
• Experience performing arterial puncture.
• Experience performing CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Experience with insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via free hand technique and/or video laryngoscope system.
• Experience operating, maintaining, and monitoring mechanical ventilation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
