Job summary

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Richmond, Virginia.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment and care for patients with breathing disorders, perform ventilator management, EKG monitoring and arterial blood gas analysis, and maintain professional licensure and certifications as required. This 13-week travel assignment runs 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts in a local healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board
• One year experience as an RRT
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Experience operating invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment
• Experience performing 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition
• Experience with arterial puncture and blood gas monitoring
• Experience with endotracheal tube insertion and removal
• Experience with tracheostomy care

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment, care and needs of patients with breathing disorders
• Provide ventilator management and related respiratory care
• Perform EKG monitoring and arterial blood gas analysis as needed
