We\'re looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Indianapolis, IN. The right RT should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function. Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of relevant acute care experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas
• NBRC certification and other requirements as specified by location
