Schedule Notes:
Stepdown Float: floating to CVSU, Cardiopulmonary, Heart and Vascular Step Down, Comp Med Step down, and Cardiology Tele Step down 8 week contracts - Nights (7p-7a) and every other weekend. Required: 2+ years stepdown experience, experience with cardiac drips (amiodarone, Lasix, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, milrinone, etc.) and must know how to interpret heart rhythms. Preferred: experience with VAD, care of post open heart, cath, vascular surgery, and cardiac patients.

Duties:
The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences, adhering to ANA code of ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The unit specializes in recovery of patients post vascular and electrophysiology procedures, acute MI, arrhythmias, syncope, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure. All nurses are ACLS certified and have completed ECG interpretation courses. This unit is suitable for nurses transitioning to ICU.
