Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Temporary Registered Nurse Traveler for the Critical Care Stepdown Unit – PVSU, for a 14-week, full-time night-shift assignment in Norfolk, VA.

The role requires an active nursing license in Virginia or compact state, 2+ years of hospital inpatient acute care experience with vents/trachs, and BLS/ACLS. Competitive $70/hr pay and comprehensive benefits accompany the assignment.

Qualifications

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in Nursing. Requires Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications required.
• Two or more years of hospital inpatient acute care experience, including vents and trachs.

Responsibilities

• Assess and admit patients and perform rounds/verification checks.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status.
• Communicate with family and coordinate care across the team.
• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
