Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU in Carlsbad, California. This position requires night shifts starting at 6:30 pm and involves providing comprehensive patient care in the ICU, including ventilator management and floating to ER and Med-Surg units. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Experience with TNCC is preferred. Holiday coverage is mandatory, and scheduling preferences should be included in applications.

Job description

Position Title

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) ICU – Nights (6:30 pm)

Overview

Travel ICU RN for 13 weeks, starting ASAP. Nights are 6:30 pm–6:30 am. Floating to ER and Med‑Surg is required. There is no on‑call requirement, 48‑hour shifts are not approved, and holiday coverage is mandatory. EMR is MedHost. Unit has 12 beds. Fingerprints are required for all NM travelers.

Responsibilities

• Provide total ICU patient care, including ventilator management, titratable drips, and patient hygiene.
• Float to the ER: assist with call lights, medication passage, patient transport, IV placement, and blood draws.
• Float to Med‑Surg: take a full patient assignment (up to six) or act as an aide covering up to twelve patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• ER and Med‑Surg experience.
• Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene (preferred).
• TNCC certification is preferred.
