Job summary

MercyOne Davenport Medical Center is seeking experienced FirstChoice RNs for premium compensation and maximum scheduling flexibility. RNs will float across hospital units and locations, delivering care under standard nursing processes and maintaining licensure requirements.

The role emphasizes independence, collaboration with stakeholders, and adaptability to diverse settings, including regional and national travel within the health system. Flexible shifts and learning opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid RN licensure for the applicable state(s).
• Minimum 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience for Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, ED and Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout hospital and/or multiple locations/regions.
• Apply standard nursing processes: Assess, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Act independently within license and scope of practice.
• Delegate appropriately and be accountable for outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
• Adapt to new responsibilities and diverse care settings.
• Support cultural differences while managing priorities.
