Eligible candidates will have active Florida RN licensure, at least 2 years of oncology/PCU experience, and required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS). Chemo certification is preferred; travel experience and float capability may be needed.

You’ll work 12-hour days on a 3-day-per-week shift schedule. The assignment focuses on Medical Oncology PCU care on a 36-bed unit with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Epic EMR is used, and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required. Chemo certification is preferred. Travel experience is valued, and floating to sister campuses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for oncology and medical oncology patients in the PCU, including routine assessments, symptom management, and care coordination
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including chemotherapy when credentialed, following physician orders and safety protocols
• Monitor patient status, interpret evolving clinical changes, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Document accurately in the Epic EMR; communicate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other members of the care team
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges; educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and safety measures
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and unit policies; as a traveler, floating to sister campuses may be required

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Florida (or eligible for licensure by endorsement) and in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of oncology/PCU nursing experience; oncology experience must be noted in the candidate’s work history
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Education: Degree accreditation must be on profile or candidate must have 5 years of comparable experience
• Ability to float to other campuses as needed; travel experience preferred
