Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Operating Room travel assignment in Sonora, California. The 13-week contract starts 11/23/2026 with guaranteed hours and evenings 12-hour shifts (3x12). Eligible RNs must hold CA licensure and have OR experience.

You'll work in a hospital operating room, collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support teams, and receive dedicated travel support, credentialing help, and housing options where available.

Overview

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Sonora, California. Start date 11/23/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $688 per week to $724 per week. Guaranteed hours: 13 weeks. Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care in the operating room for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels and coordinate care with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and other disciplines.
• Maintain sterile technique, assist with intraoperative patient care, instrument handling, and specimen labeling, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, respond to changes, and document care accurately in the intraoperative record.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize OR flow, ensure compliance with policies, and support quality patient outcomes.
• Uphold professional judgment and nursing accountability, contributing to a safe, efficient, and patient-centered operative environment.

Requirements

• Active RN license in California (or eligibility to practice in the listed location) and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Ability to work evening 12-hour shifts (3x12) as part of a travel assignment.
• Experience or strong familiarity with operating room procedures and intraoperative patient care.
• Capability to supervise OR staff and coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support teams.
• Competence in adapting to a fast-paced surgical setting and adhering to hospital policies and standards of care.
• Availability to begin on or around the specified start date for a 13-week assignment.
