• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers and OR team to ensure smooth case flow and safety.
• Document intraoperative events and ensure clear handoffs to the next care team.
• Adhere to infection control standards and perioperative policies.

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) Travel Assignment in Duluth, Georgia. Start date 11/16/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Guaranteed 40 hours per week with a pay range of $2,223 to $2,300 per week. Shift consists of 10-hour day shifts, four days per week. Work setting is a hospital operating room environment supporting perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-op assessment, monitoring, and post-anesthesia disposition as applicable.
• Assist with sterile technique, instrumentation management, and circulation or scrubbing duties as assigned.
• Maintain a safe patient environment by observing V/S, positioning, draping, and instrument counts; report intraoperative changes promptly.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader OR team to ensure smooth case flow and patient safety.
• Document intraoperative events accurately and maintain clear handoffs to the next care team.
• Adhere to infection control standards, regulatory requirements, and unit policies throughout the perioperative process.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced OR setting with strict adherence to sterile technique and instrumentation guidelines
• Must be able to meet holiday coverage requirements: two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Years Eve)
• Must be able to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours
