Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – OR for an Atlanta, GA assignment. This 13-week travel role guarantees 36 hours per week with Night shift (12-hour shifts). Weekly pay ranges from $1,923 to $2,034, and work will occur in an acute care operating room environment.

On-call, weekends, and holidays are required; no block scheduling. Responsibilities include perioperative nursing, intraoperative monitoring, and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• OR nursing experience; travel experience preferred.
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred; neuro and vascular skills highlighted.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard; electronic devices for scheduling/documentation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced OR; willing to work on-call, weekends and holidays.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork.
• Commitment to patient safety and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, including patient positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, support anesthesia team, anticipate needs and manage equipment.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, maintain instrument counts and patient safety.
• Maintain a calm, focused environment, document perioperative care and communicate with the team.
• Prepare and verify equipment, coordinate with circulating staff across shifts.
• Complete preoperative assessments and postoperative handoffs; participate in on-call coverage.
• Utilize electronic scheduling/documentation tools and access necessary apps on provided devices.

Requirements

• OR nursing experience; prior travel experience preferred

• Proficiency with Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard; ability to use electronic devices to access scheduling and documentation
