Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Cambridge, MA, to start on 11/03/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week and a rotating 4x10 schedule.

The role requires a Massachusetts RN license, current BLS, and EPIC EMR experience, with a strong preference for someone who has OR experience and valid travel credentials. Competitive weekly compensation is offered with recruiter support throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license; NURSYS verification within the last week showing a current or conditional license and all licenses (past and present)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Flu vaccination during flu season
• 1+ year of OR experience in the specialty
• EMR experience preferred: EPIC
• Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
• RTO (time off) must be included at submission; not guaranteed after confirmation
• Submission requires an up-to-date resume with 1+ year OR experience, 2 recent manager/supervisor references in the specialty, a skills checklist, and documentation of travel experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including pre-op prep, sterile technique, intraoperative instrumentation, and post-op handoff
• Scrub and circulate for assigned procedures; assist anesthesia as needed; manage equipment and supplies
• Monitor patient status, document intraoperative findings, and ensure patient safety and adherence to policies
• Collaborate with the surgical team, maintain communication, and ensure an efficient, safe workflow
• Participate in on-call responsibilities every 5–6 evenings through 7:00 a.m. and every 6th or 7th weekend; flexibly cover major holidays as required
• Complete required EMR documentation; EPIC experience is preferred
